I don't know what is wrong with it. Everytime I attempt to logon with my user password, it tells me "System logon service failed". Although I can access via SafeMode.

Umm...get a USB stick, store all your files on it, and done. As long as your personal data is safely backed up, it doesn't really matter what you do yo tour current installation, I would just do a full system restore (back to factory defaults) or reformat/fresh reinstall.

If you mean how to transfer your stuff over to a new laptop, see above. If you're talking about personalization/account settings/whatnot, there should be the "Files and Settings transfer wizard" or something like that, though I'm not sure if it works in safe mode. If you mean transferring your programs over... no can do, you'll have to reinstall each program you need.
