Laptop laadt niet meer op

ik heb van de week de laptop van mijn demente vader mee naar huis genomen om hem leeg te maken maar ik krijg hem niet meer opgeladen. Er staan nog dingen op die ik er graag af wil halen. Kan ik er nog wat mee?

I took my demented father's laptop home this week to empty it, but I can't get it to charge anymore. There are still things I would like to remove. Can I still do something with it?

You can remove the hard drive and copy data over to a new machine using something like this.

You'll need to take ownership of the files and folders before being able to view them to copy them over.

Is it a Dell or something? A lot of jacks won't charge any more with physical damage, it's common for things like the Dell center charging pin to break off in the connector, so it will run the system via the adapter but never charges the battery. Probably best to just get the data off of it and consider another computer.
