Hi, i got this Fujitsu Lifebook C2220 Notebook and i need to replace the screen but i cant find the exact screen for a reasonable price... it is a 15 inch SXGA+ screen. so my question is can i use any brand of this type of monitor instead of just the Fujitsu one... would that work???. Thanks

Usually a screen is custom made for a laptop. You can't just pick up another screen and replace it. You need an identical replacement.
I would try to find a busted identical laptop on eBay or somewhere and transplant the screen.

You are prob better off buying a new laptop as that repair is major and is going to cost a pretty penny!

There IS an option if you need to use the computer... or at least get the data you need off it to save elsewhere.
According to Fujitsu's website, there's an external monitor jack with support for using both the LCD and external monitor at the same time. You could connect a regular desktop CRT or LCD to that port. This just may work in a pinch.

^ That should work well, a friend of my mum actually uses her old laptop as a desktop computer because the LCD got busted, so she just plugged in a CRT and voila! Of course, this is not a viable option if you need a *portable* computer, but will (should) be more than good enough for a data-rescue mission...
