Hi

Ive found some memory im looking to maybe purchase that is 1gb DDR2 667 (pc2 5300-5400) 64x8 low density and i no that in the laptop it is DDR2 533 PC4200 RAM would this make a difference please.

Yes it would aslong as it can support it.

Make sure it is SODIMM and you chipset can support it.

Other than that it would be quite good in speed boosting.

The laptop is a dell latitude D610 if that helps at all and the memory is so-dimm

1GB DDR2 SODIMM PC5400 PC2 PC-5400 667Mhz 1 GB

Thats ok then It should work.

You have 2 slots, you could get 2x512 or have 1024mb and a 256mb that you currently have?
