Laptop or MacBook for Univirsity?

Im going to uni in september to study computer systems security. i want a laptop or a macbook to do work on but also will use it for entertainment, music communication etc.... (no games)


Im just wondering what do you think i should get. macbook or laptop?

yeah you could have the best of both worlds with OSX and Windows dual booted.

But Macbooks are pretty expensive so...

is it possible to tripple boot with windows/maxOSX and Ubuntu?

Im not sure if you can triple boot, possibly? You could run windows or linux in a virtual machine on mac then dual boot with the other os. That would work

But yeh macbook all the way, only disadvantage is no games but like you say you want to play anyway so its perfect!

Since when was there no games with a macbook? You can run practically any game off of Windows, though the integrated graphics isn't as good as dedicated. If you're dying for graphics, get the Macbook Pro.

I recently purchased a Macbook off of eBay, and I can't wait for it to get here! I paid under $800 USD, but got a few nice extras, including Windows XP.
