laptop problem.

Hello. I've been trying to update my video card for my laptop and it comes up with an error. I do not know why. It asked me to go to the display thing and they say to change to vga. what is that? Does anyone know? Need help fast.

Change to VGA? Perhaps your suppose to have the "standard VGA PCI" driver installed(or it's called something like that...)

My video card does not show up in the start menu.

Yes. When I look in there. It says its working propertly.

I'm not toally sure what's up then... Does your laptop have some form of Radeon? I remember running into a similar problem with my old ATI...
