Laptop Problems

After reformating, I can't seem to access my internal sound system and wireless card. Also, my laptop doesn't detect when i plug a network cable into it. There's a green light that stays on whether I plug anything in or not.

for the wireless, do i have to install something extra to make windows recognize it or something?

thx

You have to enable the Wireless card or LAN Connection from within Network Connections by right clicking on it and choosing Enable. Have you reinstalled your audio drivers?

Are all of your hardware drivers installed after you reinstalled Windows? It could be that you haven't installed all your drivers yet. As for the lights blinking, it's normal- it'll light up whenever there's power and a connection.

Drivers, almost definetly drivers. I assume you didn't use a restore disk or any sort, just a plain windows install?

Check on the manufacturer's site, they typically keep drivers for various systems.
