Hey,

I've got a hp dv6000 series laptop, and i though to myself 'ooh, It's running a bit slow lately' So i decided to upgrade some components. Fristly i upgraded from 1 GB to 4GB of ram, than I went to a Computer store, and asked the guy for a intel processor (intel cause my Laptop has a intel one atm) that I could put into a laptop. He said yeye sure. I double checked it will work in my HP Dv6000, and he said yes.
Right to the point: I just cant seem to reach the old processor! It seems to be located in a spot unaccesable, without removing every possible screw, and ripping of glued parts.

Does that mean that I cant change it? Or am I doing something wrong?

Please help

You should be able to get to the processor and replace it.
I'm fairly sure to do it though you need to remove the motherboard first (well i had to with a Dell Inspiron 1300). i had to remove the screws around the keyboard, remove it, the find other screws holding the mobo in place.

Yes, it does take a while, but for me it was the only way to get to it and it may be the same for you.
