Laptop Processors

Slightly embarrassing question, I'm shopping for a laptop, and I'm not sure about the differences between the i7, i5, i3, and Dual Cores. I was hoping someone could elaborate on exactly how much one is better then the other.

Core i7's are quad-core processors with hyper-threading.
Core i5's are quad-core processors without hyperthreading.
Core i3's are dual-core processors without hyperthreading.

I think I got that right. (I haven't been paying attention to CPU's lately, plus I'm an AMD guy. I got that from wikipedia)

Just a couple corrections:
The i7 also comes in dual-core mobile versions
The i5 mobile processors are duals, not quads.
The i3 and i5 both have hyperthreading.
@ OP:
If you are referring to dual cores as Core2 Duos, the i3 i5, and i7 duals are pretty much better versions of Core2 Duos.
