laptop question

first i bought laptop from frys.com

toshiba satellite celeron M 1.6GHz, 512 ram, 64mb ATI Radeon, 60GB HD

it has a sticker that says Vista Capable, does that mean i can run vista on it, i have a feeling it wont run fast, i was thinking of running home basic, lemme know, I wana upgrade all my stuff to 07-08,

also I wana buy a new cpu, and more ram, but not that rich, can u put new cpu's in laptops?

vista capible means you can run vista. but most computers can even if it does not have that sticker. and yes you can upgrade the cpu in some laptops.

ya, it wont runt fast, but it'll run. its generally not a great idea to try to upgrade the cpu, especially if youre not rich. ram you can upgrade though.

That would struggle with vista, try more ram rather than new processor, changing the processor is pretty difficult if your not learned in computers.
