Laptop RAM

Just got a used laptop for free, a Dell 1440/14z. Just a little 14 inch. It has 3GB of 1066 RAM and I'm looking at 1333mhz RAM and 4GB. This thing needs all the help it can get... Just making sure 1333 RAM is compatible with it. According to Crucial, it is:

I'm looking at this RAM. It only has one slot for RAM.

I looked up that labtop and it has 1GB on board memory built it, plus one free slot for more memory. so it must be a 2gb memory chip in the slot and you want to swap that
2gb for a 4gb chip to = a max of 5gb of memory. looks like you're right about the speed as far as i can tell.

I'm looking at it right now and it has 3GB and only one slot for one stick.

thats what i said, 1gb built in and a 2gb chip in it now, take out the 2gb and add a 4gb chip, then you have 5gb

Yeah take out 1x 2GB stick and put in 1x 4GB stick if the laptop supports it, then you'll have 5GB. Weird number I know but hey it's more than 3GB...

1Gb is built in, so he puts in a 4 not a 5
