One of my friends is looking into getting a new laptop. His bugdet maxes out at $750. He'll be doing light gaming, he'll be storing a lot of music, so a minimun of an 80gb harddrive. He has a preference of a 15.4in screen but anything should do. Any recommendations?

Thanks alot.

Intel® Pentium® dual-core T2080(1MB Cache/1.73GHz/533MHz FSB
Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Basic
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display with TrueLife™(glossy)
1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm
80GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive
24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive
256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory™
Integrated Audio

This is what I found for 798$, overbudget, but probobly the best deal you can find.
Also check the outlet for the 1505 or e1705 with the x1400 or 7900gs respectively (I have the latter and am loving it!) they can run some slick bargains there. last thing to look at would be http://www.notebookforums.com/reviews/laptop-coupons.php because they update the coupon section with some frequency and reliably have the best coupons.

I haven't read much about the X1300, Im sure if it really is light gaming it would do, but the x1400 is a strong card for the price.

alright thanks a lot, I'll suggest to him the x1400 and and upgrade to the Intel® Core™ DUO T2350, for a total of $838, is the proccessor upgrade logical?

I think that if you were to upgrade anything it should be ram first, but through a third party such as newegg.
