Laptop Recovery Disks?

Hey CF, feels weird to be posting a thread asking a question haha. Its been a while since Ive been at this.

Anyways, I have an MSI CX 640 laptop that I bought a while back and it never came with and recovery cds. Im planning on upgrading the hard drive and I have the oem serial code underneath the laptop. How do I go about reinstalling the os on a brand new drive if MSI doesn't provide recovery disks through their site?

Is it Windows 7? If so just download an ISO.

I would just buy a SSD in an external cady. Swap the old hdd into the cady, put the new hdd in your laptop. Install windows from the link given and then transfer files and settings via the external ssd (old windows install).
