laptop restarts when close

For some reason when i close my laptop, some times when i come back and open it it has restarted. I get the vista error "windows has abruptly shut down". The one time i got the solution thingy to open, it said it was due to the intel wireless chipset driver needing to be updated. I did that but i am still having the problem. It is not every time, just sometimes.

I have run virus scan, and spyware and rootkit test, cleaned everything and it still does it for some reason.

If a HJT log might help, let me know and ill post one.

are u sure its not the settings in vista causing it to crash every time you close the screen?

have you checked the control panel settings? if the button that 'sees' if the screen is folded down, is set to the same fungtion as the normal on/off button there, it will be as if you hold down the on/off button on a pc. its jsut a wile gues.. but might be worth checking out
