Hey guys, recently I was playing a game and out of nowhere my screen goes all black but it seemed as though everything else in my system was still going. Thinking it was just some simple error or really nothing major I restarted my computer screen was black so I just shut it down manually (during boot I'm assuming). So after a week or so I decided to turn it back on windows splash comes up I login, everything is fine. I then open up counter strike, right as that happens screen goes black. So at that point I'm thinking it's just a simple overheating issue. So I take out an old fan blast it right underneath the computer and let it fully cool. After an hour I turn it back on it gives me an error about windows boot being interrupted. I'm guessing after I manually shut it off it restarted on its own and decided to shut down yet again. (sorry if this is getting confusing) So after receiving that error message it pretty much says put in the windows installation disk. By the time I find it the computer has shut down. I power it up and put in the disk but the screen is black so I can't go through setup and possibly fix what's wrong though at this point I'm under the assumption it's a hardware problem. There are a few more factors that make this problem more of an annoyance to fix. Firstly though it's obvious it's a laptop, and I have no knowledge in fixing one. Secondly the graphics is integrated
. Also I'm not a huge fan of overpaying other people to try and fix my laptop at an absurd price. Any idea on things I can do? I'm assuming that if I let it cool for a good hour I'll be able to turn it back on and login at least but I'm not sure how long I'll be able to do anything before it shuts down.
Thankfully my next build will be a desktop so fixing hardware will be a ton easier
Well, any insight on the matter would be greatly appreciated. if I can't fix it I'll end up selling it on ebay or craigslist to someone who thinks they can fix it.
Thanks!
