I'll agree with Johnb. Sounds like a driver issue.
But i have actually had an issue similar to that, were i deemed it a hardware issue. (i work at a school were i am mainly fixing employees and students computers. Just in case you wanna know)
Simple graphics like bios and what not worked fine. But as soon windows launched, it f*cked up.
I then tried a live version of Lubuntu, and the same thing happened.
It's was like, as soon as the GPU was asked to deliver more complex graphics than a static image, it broke down.
Are you up for trying a live linux OS? This will rule out any windows driver issue.
Problem is, it might take a little knowledge of computers to get it working. We will help you along the way ofcause, but it's not an easy task for computer illiterates.
