Laptop Screen shows pixel outline?

Hello.

This is my first time on here, since my friend told me it's a good place to ask questions about laptops. So here is my question:

My laptop, received not too long ago brand new, has a small pixel problem, and I wish to know: Is it a stuck pixel?

It's not stuck on a single color. It only reveals their-selves (Yes, multiple pixels are having this problem, top right section of the screen and downward a bit) if I put it at a dark color. Really shows up if I have it on a black-ish background.

The Laptop I bought:

I received the laptop on the 18th of may. It's had this problem since then. Now, it's not noticeable unless I concentrate on that area, so something to note.

I also noticed that if I'm playing a game (Dota 2 for example), and I was to close said game, the pixeled-showing area does this fade-like effect, to follow up the rest of the screen.

The pixeled-showing also occurs kinda on the left and sometimes center, but it quickly fixes itself.

If you have any idea how to fix it, it would be very appreciated. =)

P.S. The laptop tends to give off a slight dog-whistle noise whenever I put it in sleep mode or shutting it down entirely. It's fixed whenever I unplug the charger. Any tips on that would be very much appreciated. =)

Honestly, since you literally just got it, take it back to BestBuy and return it under their 14 day policy and get a new one. Even if it something small, why put up with it. Your in an advantageous position and it's BestBuy burden to fix!

That's the thing: I'm in no able position to take it back. Plus, besides the tablet I'm using, the laptop is the only source of Entertainment where I am. I can't afford to get a new one, since this laptop literally fits everything I need.

Even if you can't get to a brick and mortar store, you can return via mail/courier! Affording one is irrelevant, you already own one, return it, get the credit, buy new with the credit. The purchase is already made, so no new money being put out. Just the sacrifice of no laptop for a bit - I would never put up with a defect on a new product, especially one that is 2 days old as you stated!

Well, do you have any recommendations for a laptop that can help my needs? I'm gonna use it to play games, which are: TF2, Dota 2, CSGO, and possibly Overwatch. And, I'm VERY sorry about this, but I actually got it on the 13th, not the 18th, got mixed up, sorry. Also, credit? Like membership wise? Because I tried making a membership with BestBuy, but they refused to let me create it. Sorry if this is aggravating.

The 13th would still be under the 14 day return policy with Bestbuy. Today is the 20th, so you either go to the store with receipt and head to their exchange/return desk, or follow the instructions for mailing back a return on their site.

You've already paid for this defective one, that is your "credit" for a new one or your money back..but do it asap as you already are 1 week into ownership!

If you can't physically get to a store to return the laptop, do it by mail..although I'd highly recommend you go to a store, in person with the receipt.

You don't need a membership. Did you buy this laptop yourself or did someone else buy it for you? Get the receipt and take the machine back, its faulty. Try another one of the same model. Open it up there and try it before leaving the store.

Pretty much what I'm getting at.. return it NOW..problem solved!

Well, alright. One last question: If that laptop was marked down, can I still get the same model? The laptop was 299 when I got it, and it went up to 329.

Not your problem they raised the price, provided a new one is in stock they should honor the sale price.. if all else fails, talk to the store manager!
