Laptop Screen. :(

My laptop screen has gave up the will to live and won't work it started going abit funny a few months ago but now, When i turn it on all i get is a black screen with lots of white lines. If i shake it abit it sometimes jumps to the windows startup screen but the screens froze so i can't do anything. There isent nothing wrong with the laptop 'cos i can plug my computer moniter in and all is ok. So its the screen.

Any1 know how much it's gonna cost me for a new screen. Or is it reparable?

My laptop is a Acer Travelmate 2491 LCI with a 15" screen.

Please help.
 
i looked this up on google for you (cuz im such a nice guy:D)
and found out that its usually the screen cable, not the screen itself... try finding a new cable (none on ebay:() and call acer for help

usually if they try to charge you... hang up and call again and speak to a different person... i got two dell screens and a hard drive replaced that way for free....

it usually helps if you tell them u researched it on the internet and found that many other people are having this problem too...:D

EDIT: dangit kof beat me to it while i was typing this long post....
