wow everything but the screen is really good. i would go with a hp or an ibm or possible an acer, whats your price range? and in my opinion amd isnt a downfall, though intel is ahead as of now. there is a company, ibuypc i think nope check ibuypower it is. http://www.ibuypower.com/mall/lobby.htm its like alienware, but cheaper. i havent tried the customer support, but i assume its better then theirs is. i really think though that with computer forum, most people dont need the customer support :D the site sells sells computers with cool cases, which is all hat really set alienware appart. i know that the desktops they have are fairly good but the lappys i havent investigated. i hope this was helpfull. cheers
 
AMD's arnet that bad to be honest...

you only need a C2D if your going to be running multiple demanding apps. at one time...

I can run email, firefox, itunes, and another app. at once on an AMD
