Laptop Suggestions Needed

hi guys. I am looking for a new laptop.... basic need is battery life

low budget batgaon

PLEASE NO DELLS

have a dell ispiron b 120 at the moment
 
Why no Dells? They're probably the best Windows PC manufacturer out. Compaq makes good songs.

Right now Laptops are very high.Before Christmas you could get a basic AMD machine with a 80 gig HD and 512mb of ram for under $400.Now days you will do well to find one under $700

If you can hold off,,that will be your best bet.
 
Best buy have a laptop for $399, erm, Dell have Vostros for $399 starting, take a look. I love my Vostro.

my inspiron uses batteries almost like a normal electronic device...

a new battery says 2 hrs wen u get it
a week later is 1:40
3 rd week its 1:00
4 th week and onward its 0:35
after this it gives insignificant time and dies
 
How much are you actually got?

Regarding the battery, I used to take out the battery when I plug to the main.
