Laptop TFT to Desktop Monitor Conversion?

Is it possible to hook up a laptop tft screen to a desktop to make a ghetto second monitor? Thx. in advance.

Probably but the work required to disassemble and reassemble the LCD screen would probably be prohibitibely difficult/expensive/time-consuming
