Laptop to TV issue

Hi guys

I was hoping someone could help me, I've been looking all morning but can't find the solution to my problem.

I have a fairly new laptop with a nvidea geforce 8200m G graphics card which has VGA and HDMI outputs

I want to hook it up to my TV which unfortunatly is quite old

All it has is SCART and RCA (the red yellow and white) connections.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks

If you have S-Video output, that'd probably be the only sure way. The first link you posted for a VGA to Component. From your description, you didn't seem to have this connection, but rather RCA. And even if your TV did have component, I beleive you need a certain type of video card to handle it. I think the VGA to S-Video/RCA worked on the older Radeons.

As for the VGA to SCART, I couldn't say since I'm in the states and we don't have SCART. But I can say for sure that if you have Svideo out, you could easily find an S-Video to RCA converter and it'd work fine with your TV.

so is there a sure fire way to get vga to connect to rca (red yellow white)

i dont have any other connection types and would really like to get this sorted by the weekend

thanks
