laptop turns off on it own

hey guys, can any1 offer some suggestions please. i have no idea why my 8mths old HP laptop keeps shutting off on its own. i would be surfing the internet one minute and b4 i know it, boom! it goes. why wud that happen and how can i stop it from happening?

i have ran AVG and it found nothing and i downloaded Avast and that found nothing.

oh a msg usually comes up on a blue screen saying "crash dump system"
then it counts down, then says computer had unexpected shut down....


what shud i do?
 
I doubt its infected, heat issue would be my guess. But do as Respital notes and run Malwarebytes and Hijackthis.
 
have u tried to reseat ur ram? sometimes laptop memory can become a little loose after being picked up and set down so many times and u have to take the ram out and put it back it and make sure its tight.

edit: if ur going to use antivirus software use kaspersky internet security 2009
