Laptop white screen

truescope

Trying to repair my laptop myself. Upon power up all I manage to get are white screens. I have taken apart the screen and made sure all connections were secure, still not showing any improvement.

The laptop doesn't respond to any key commands, and no response to new media in any of the drives.

I don't have full spec's

Video is an ATI Mobility Radeon 9600
I bought the laptop used and it came without brand markers.

will update if I can find more information

Well it's kind of hard to tell if it's an LCD issue or a motherboard issue unless you can find another compatible LCD panel and swap it out..

I do thank you for your replies voyagerfan99. Having a compatible LCD to swap out is easier said than done. Can you think of any other ways to try and diagnos which part is faulty?

You can try disconnecting the video cable from the motherboard and plug an external monitor into the base and see if it pushes video that way.
