Laptop wifi adapter acting up

Recently I am not sure if it is the wifi adapter in the laptop that is messing up or the drivers for the adapter that is messing it but recently it looses connection every time I turn it on and pressing the key combination to turn on the wifi doesn't work so it says "no connections". What I been doing is uninstalling the wifi adapter drivers and reinstalling it with a more up-to-date version of the driver and it works fine until I turn off the laptop and then it seems that the wifi doesn't work again and I would have to repeat the process in order for the wifi to work. The driver is there and it recognizes the driver but the wifi feature just doesn't seem to work. What could be the issue?

And also trying to install windows updates stays frozen in "download drivers". I did a windows update downloader to see if that would do anything but I am not sure if it did.

I will include a dxdiag in case it says anything there.
