Laptop windows repair fail

So, I just wanted to format my laptop and do a fresh installation of windows 7 and here's what happened:
There is 2 recovery discs with windows 7 for my laptop (part 1 and 2), I inserted the first one, it formatted the hdd, installed some stuff and then it stops the installation and opens the dvd drive asking me to insert disc number 2, so I did that, but then when I insert disc 2 the installer appears to be frozen, I can't do anything and the "next button" is locked, so I can't move on with the installation. I tried leaving it for a few minutes, and even hours but it just freezes and does nothing. I also tried it multiple times and the same problem keeps getting in my way. The laptop is Compaq Presario CQ62. Anyone can help me?

Were you having any trouble with the previous installation?
When you formatted did you use quick format or full format? Do full format.
might want to try using a external cd/dvd rom if ya used a built in.

No, I did not have trouble before and...
I didn't do anything, meaning that the amazing *sarcasm* hp recovery discs do everything for you, I insert it and it says: now formatting, then unloading files etc... so I can't do anythig
