laptop wont turn on

so the battery is fine and its charged and everything and it wont turn on, like hitting the power button does nothing, guessing the motherboard is gone?

Double check that the Battery is properly installed. If you're sure it is, bring it in to your local computer shop. They'll have a good look at it and tell you whether it's your power supply or not.

Possibly a bad power-supply, but I've taken apart my hosting computer and essentially the power button has a series of wires coming from it, It is possible that one of them has been disconnect?

well like when we plug the battery in the battery light comes on, like the charging light so we knwo that works, and the power button seems ot be fine just nothing will turn on but yeah i will say **** it and get a new one, it was given to my girlfriend saying if she can get it to turn on then she can have it lol, but i dont think its worth going through trouble to worry about it caue its older laptop anyway

I'm sorry to hear about your laptop. They are a pain in the arse to fix.

It sounds like to me that the button might be faulty or in some way loose, if it's been dropped or anything violently or forceful to it, this can happen easily.

I know a friend's laptop had this problem where power wouldn't go when plugging it in, and then a week after I fixed it for her, she had her cords wrapped around the screen for some weird reason and then tripped over the cord, snapped the screen pretty badly. So much for the power problem.

They are very sensitive so its very important to look after your laptop and make sure you only let trusted people use it, or not at all, really.

Also remember never to solely save anything on there, always back it up on an external hard drive or USB memory stick.

Good luck for the future. :D
