Is it possible to build your own laptop? I've built a lot of desktop computers/servers but never a laptop... If you can where could I get the parts?

Yes it's possible to build your own laptop...how do you think it is put together in the first place? Someone has to do it

As for getting parts, I'm stumped as to where to get them.

Very few allow you to do this... Mine(an ECS Desknote 929a) has some expanability. They have different LCDs, you can use standard socketA processors, standard DDR RAM, and an easillly accessable harddrive.

Some other high end ones have interchangable video cards, but for the most part, laptops are very limited to their upgrades.
