i got a compaq evo n610c 1.80ghz pentium 4 mobility, 512mb, 40gig hd, wireless, ati mobility radeon 7500, dvd/cdrw for 500$. its not a 2006 model but its a good laptop. i am completly satisfied with it!!
its not a bad machine but i'm sure there are better deals from acer. I've not seen much in the way of problems with 3620's but i'm hoping they're better than the 3610's as there were several inherant problems with that series.
