Laptops - all made in China? Noob question :D

Hiya..

I'm on another forum (nothing to do with puters) but was jumping in a conversation to do with a CNN report stating that a hacker got into someone's webcam and stole pictures/streams of this lady.

I'm not sure if UK laptops actually come with webcams installed? I thought this was more open to American markets? Sorry if I'm being stupid! But I've got 3 laptops at home, all new and I haven;t seen any here with webcams installed.

yes you can get UK laptops with webcams intergrated
But what's that got to do with China??????

Sorry - just realised I didn't put that comment in the post itself - I've been told all laptops of almost all brands are made in China

TBH ... I think almost all technology is manufactured in China/Japan/South Korea, but will be made to specs provided by the UK companies;)

This is the link they posted (on the other forum) http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/tec...am.spying.wcjb - I said I haven't seen inbuilt webcams in laptops and maybe it was a new thing in America and would be coming to the UK soon, at which I got a rude response from them telling me ALL laptops are made by china and distributed around the world..

so I'm doing some research lol
