Laptops choice Gateway vs Acer!

Hi,
I am looking for a new laptop. I have come down to these two choices. Here is the link to the actual site. They are the top two in the list. Neglecting that one has Windows 7 pre-installed, which one of the two would you recommend buying?

Acer Aspire 14" AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core QL-65 2.1GHz Laptop
VS
Gateway 14" Intel Pentium T4300 2.1GHz Laptop (NV4405H)

gateway, acer, and compaq are crappy computers

Thanks for the reply.
However, I would really appreciate if you could be a bit more elaborate as to why I should not go with these brands. These two machine seems to be really competitive based on specs (Memory Size, HDD Capacity, CPU etc) and beat others when considering the price factor.
