Do we have multi petabyte hard drives yet? I think that would be needed for a person's entire DNA readout.

What are you saying? I know most people don't need this type of storage but I guess services currently exist to give a person their entire DNA sequence. I just wanted to know how such data could be stored after it is read by a lab.I guess the others thought this was a normal response?
Eh shrug, huge SANs have been a thing for a while I just assumed he pulled the figure from somewhere.I guess the others thought this was a normal response?
You can use a SAN style setup to tie a bunch of drives together, there's a bunch of different ways to slice it out, but you can scale it to however much budget you have.I just wanted to know how such data could be stored after it is read by a lab.
