I have replaced the dual core processor I had in this board with a quad core 940..
when entering the bios to check the processor it shows the correct info although when I exited and saved changes I got a warning that the motherboard does not recognise the new processor ..
pressing F1 the computer goes about its merry way ..
I have been advised to update the bios and so downloaded a program called CPU-Z so I could find out relevant info ..
CPU-Z advises that I have a version 0701 bios ..
I went here asus.com product.aspx?P_ID=2UWzsrOiRbMPGYpw&templete=2 and found that the latest bios they have is 0504 ..
anyone know a:where to go to update to a later bios or b:do I have the latest one now?
