LCD broke on laptop

I accidentally stepped on my computers screen and broke the LCD on it. I'm currently using one of my TVs as a monitor. There are no screws on the monitor to open it up so im unsure of how to get into it? So what should I do should I go to the geek squad and have them look at it? should I try and repair it myself? Or should I just duct tape a new monitor onto my computer?

I would forget the duct tape fix. or keep the monitor hook up.

The bezel is probably just affixed with retaining clips and a strip or two of double sided tape, so if you slowly and gently pry it away you should be able to remove the bezel and LCD panel.

Then you can just go on ebay and stick the LCD panel model number in to find a replacement.

You basically research that model and hope there is a screen removal on you tube to watch. Would help you search but on phone currently.
