can sum1 give me the 441 on the fallowing.. like whats better what should i go for? ect

these numbers are just copied off a random LCD like tell me if higher or lower is better. and what each one means that'd be great!

It's a 22" LCD HD Samsung monitor. I have the same one and would recommend it. Depends on what you want to do though

it was just an example LCD i was hopeing to get an explination on the terms to help me better understand what i will need for my personal use
 
Maximum Resolution 1680 x 1050

Your resolution. Vertical pixels by horizontal pixels. Higher resolutions make images smaller and sharper, while lower resolutions will make images larger but more "pixelated", and you won't be able to fit as much on the screen as with higher resolutions. Most prefer higher resolutions.

Recommended Resolution 1680 x 1050

This is the physical amount of pixels the monitor has. With LCDs it's pretty much required that you use the recommended resolution (which is typically also the maximum).

Viewing Angle 170°(H) / 160°(V)


This is the manufacturer's claim of how far off to the side or above you can view the image on the monitor without the picture's colors becoming distorted. Higher is better, but take this rating with a grain of salt as manufacturers can claim whatever they like.

Pixel Pitch 0.282mm

Display Colors 16.2 Million

Literally the number of colors the monitor can display. Higher is better. 16.X million is typical for TN panels.

Brightness 300 cd/m2

Higher is brighter. 300 cd/m2 is typical for 19" - 22" LCDs

Contrast Ratio DC 2000:1(1000:1)

In theory, this means that the brightest color the monitor can display is 2000 times brighter than the darkest color (LCD panels can't display true black or true white). Take this rating with a grain of salt as well, there is no official system manufacturers have to adhere to. Higher is better (10,000:1 > 700:1). DC stands for Dynamic Contrast; it's one of Samsung's ways of lying to its customers. It basically means that it can display a pixel 2000 times brighter than another pixel, just not at the same time. If a company uses this rating it's a good hint that it's a slimy company that probably uses Samsung panels and should be avoided.

Response Time 2ms(GTG)

Time the pixel takes to change colors in milliseconds (again, in theory). Lower is better. (GTG) is also Samsung's way of blatantly lying to its customers. It stands for grey to grey (meaning that they measure the fastest response time possible instead of calculating a healthy average). The real response time of this monitor, for instance, is 5ms.

Horizontal Refresh Rate 31.3 - 80.2KHz


This will be typical of all LCD panels.

Vertical Refresh Rate 56 - 75Hz

So will this.

Display Type WSXGA+


This just means it's a widescreen.

why thank you very much, pixel pitch is the space that pixels are apart... i learnt aht in class its the only 1 i knew lol smaller is better on this
