LCD monitor to VGA connection

Hi,
I have a Samsung LCD monitor, which have DVI-D and analog(RGB) connection too and my video card is an ATI 5830 video card with 2 DVI-I and a HDMI connection.

So the question would be, is it will work if I just connect the DVI-D cable or do I need the DVI-D and the RGB cable connect too to get the signal in my LCD?

or get a HDMI to DVI cable and don't bother with them?
 
just hook the one dvi up from the GPU to the LCD , or just use an hdmi connection.. i have no experience with hdmi on a computer tho

well it says, that it doesn't have any difference between the HDMI and the DVI, so you don't loose any quality and whatever, so nothing diff., maybe in the future will try... :good:
