LCD monitor

I dont know a thing about LCD monitors. So i dont know what to look for when looking for one or what brands are good and what brands to stay away from. I want a 22" widescreen LCD.

On the page there the best two are the BenQ and Acer models by a long shot. But for $10 more then the $299.99 price seen on the BenQ model a look at the Viewsonic Graphic series model gets more attention here. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116060

One brand that definitely is "low end" is Samsung along with some other off names. LG and NEC along with Asus would be alternatives from the list. But the current models in stock also start climbing fast in price as well. The one Asus model seen has a 2ms response time for the $369.99 price tag seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824236011

Out of the BenQ and the Acer, what ones the best?

I would have to go with BenQ, Acer is good, but I heard a whole lot of their monitors have dead pixels, crappy stands, etc etc. I've just heard much better things about BenQ rather then Acer.
