LCD performance based on hardware quality

I have purchased a Samsung 172x. When I recieved the monitor I had a more than annoying pixel problem so I sent it back. These things happen with LCD's, so I won't fault Samsung unless they send me something equally as bad. Anyway, here's the post.
Reviews have been quite mixed with the 172x. Some people seem like they would kill for it, others seem to not want to much to do with it other than just 2D desktop use. For the small amount of time I had the monitor(i had to use it about 6 hours), I did some gaming. I played Farcry, UT2004, Painkiller. I also did some fast moving winamp visuals and watch Matrix fighting scenes to further test the quality/ghosting. I saw nothing to complain about. Ghosting was non-existant in gaming and in movies. I have a really good comp.(See my sig) If this monitor was tested on a slower, less graphical machine, would/could it hinder the performance of the monitor by causing it to ghost? I'm not good with words, but hopefull you know where I am going with this.
Thanks,
Grim
PS~ If anyone feels like it write me a private messege so you can send me my free Nvidia 6800 Ultra card. :P
