i just bought a CMV 17" LCD 8 MS with a 3 year warranty but without
the zero dead pixel warranty is this very important. The salesman said that the
normal 3 year warranty did not cover dead pixels, anyway what are the
chance's of pixels dying?
It's hard to say. I have 2 LCD's and a laptop...none of which have dead pixels... Neither my brother's laptop and dad's laptop, both older than my equipment, have dead pixles that I know of. I think you'll be ok...
Then again, my digital camera came with a dead pixel...
In my experience, the more the monitor costs, the less likely for dead pixels. My stepdad got a kinda crappy LCD, and his came with like 4 dead pixels. I bought mine, and I still only have one after months of use. Some people never get any , it all depends.
Depends what your monitor uses, i believe most LCD's use the DVI, and most CRT's use the SUB. If you have a choice between either one, i would go with the DVI.
yea it has both and my 6600gt has both so the dvi-i is newer so go with that?
i'm using the d-sub right now caus i'm more familiar with that...
do u need to install any drivers for the dvi-i?
