LCD TV As Monitor Problem?

I had my computer hooked up to two displays. One was a standard computer monitor that was connected using DVI the other was my LCD TV connected using a DVI to HDMI converter. (Computer out was DVI then converted to HDMI for the TV. The two displays worked fine for a while then one day while playing Fallout: New Vegas the game froze and I was forced to do a hard shutdown. Afterwards my LCD TV is no longer giving any image however the computer recognizes it. It shows in the display settings as LCD TV and the two displays are still extended (I can move my mouse off the monitor in the direction of the TV and the mouse disappears) however there is nothing shown on the TV. I have hooked up my ps3 to the TV via HDMI and it works fine. Also I have used a different LCD TV with the converter and my computer and that TV works fine. Does anyone know why my original LCD TV won't work?
Recap:
Tower connected to monitor using DVI
Tower also connected to TV using DVI/HDMI Converter.
LCD TV is detected but shows no image.
LCD TV works with other HDMI Devices
Other TV's work with computer and DVI/HDMI Converter.
Please help!

I uninstalled them and the resolution got messed up, restarted my computer, it began to install the driver on it's own and asked me to reboot. So I rebooted it. Still nothing on the TV, checked for updates on the driver and none found.

This happens. If a problem comes up, it can cause problems with the displays not displaying correctly or at all. I had problems with my 8800 sometimes not allowing me to use my TV even though it said it was listed as primary display. Made no sense.

Sometimes you just have to switch stuff around, unhook stuff and hope it starts to recognize it again and allow you to use it. Thats what I did and it worked.

Try having only your TV hooked up, that might work. I have only my TV hooked up right now via HDMI.

Same problem

im actually usefuls brother and it is my tv... i have unplugged everything and tried every combination. i called emerson and they have no clue. its almost like the tv isnt reading the computer signal because it works with other hd devices. any other tips?

Something could have gotten corrupted. Did you try just doing a system restore on a date before this happened? That fixes 95% of my problems.

Yea thats actually a good idea. i just tried but i got nothing... im almost 100% that its the tv. ive updated the firmware and contacted emerson but they are lost also. theres no way to reset the tv or anything like that either
