Do you guys know If LCD monitor bought in USA will be working in Europe??
I browsed newegg and all monitors has 110V-240V adapter.
Is any European here in this forum who can confirm??

Also would be good idea to buy Widescreen monitor like this?:

Like any other adaptors, it should work. Europe has the same voltage as China right? And all my power adaptors from the US works in China, so i do not see why the LCD wouldn't work in Europe.

In the US the standard electrical outlet uses 115-120v while Europeans use 220-240v standard. You would need an ac adapter with the capability of running at both 120v and 220v. At least a power converter would be the thing to look into.

Lol i knew that, just making sure the european voltage. And most power adaptors here in the US does both 120 and 240.

It's not that I need widescreen it was just option.
I need to buy some and send it to my family in Europe.Yeah,actually only USA has 110V and good thing is all those monitors have 110-240V which is good,only I have to find a new cable.That shouldnt be a problem I hope.

The BenQ and Viewsonic models both have the switchable power settings and the low 2ms response time great for gaming. What type of cable will you need? Newegg carries some onhand. Look on the selection list seen at http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/SubCategory.asp?SubCategory=1

I meant power cable for LCD.The one LCD will have is with US plug.
But I think I can find it somewhere in Europe.

Is there any advantage of having widescreen LCD over regular ratio??

Wide screen lcds are for those that prefer the wide screen format often seen with dvds due to the theatre effect and viewing. For certain types of pc games like auto racing where everything is left and right movement many will choose that style. For action first shooter games with a lot of vertical movement many will simply stay with the standard type.
