depends on what type of screen you have, and whether it's left on or not. I dont think the computer would consume much power while idleing. If you have a CRT and leave that on, then you'll be using considerably more power.
There was a thread on this awhile ago, and I think we figured out that it would make a difference of a few cents a day. Most of your power bill comes from the major appliances (refridgerator, washer and dryer, etc.).
