Legal/legit p2p file sharing...

I know this is a touchy subject but to see it's discussion being outlawed here is an awful lot like censorship. I download movies, and music. In almost every instance, I have already bought the music or movie on multiple platforms in the past. How can this be illegal?

An example...over the years I have bought every single record Metallica ever put out. I bought them as records, cassettes, and CD's. Now if I download their discography for my personal collection, how can anyone say this is illegal? I paid them multiple times for each record...

How can the discussion of this legal technology be off limits? It's just modern computing.

The Jeannie is out of the bottle.

That's kinda like saying we can't talk about guns on a gun forum because somebody might use their gun to commit a crime.

Just imagine if someone told a poster how to clean a gun and then he went out and killed someone! The forum would be responsible!! Best to just not talk about it, huh?

Look if you can't understand that this is a internet forum and not P2P forum it's not problem. Now have you've seen, I'm not a moderator on this forum.

I think it was clear in the forum rules that Computer Forum is against any talk of illegal activities on internet. You might use our reply legally, but someone on this forum looking for ways to get free illegal downloads might not. Therefore, this website doesn't want to be the one that made it possible for this thieve.

If you can't understand this then I'm sorry for you.
