ok i was thinking about all my favorite games i used to play when i was younger, perfect dark, mario-kart 64, super smash bro's, and then my favorite of all, the legend of dragoon. never heard of it? it was one of the first rpg's other then final fantasy one, if im correct in my thinking. the gameplay was flawed, the music was repetitive, and the battling was turnbased and sometimes repetitive. why, then do i love it so much? I DONT KNOW! the gaming was so addictive, i was so engrossed in it that i threw away hours like they were gum wrappers. can anyone else relate with old games they have played? and does anyone else remember lod? (thats easier to type then legend of dragoon)

well, chrono cross was technically, graphically, and financially weaker than final fantasy VII, but is 50x more fun to play, so you can't always pin point what makes a game great

was legend of dragoon the basis for the panzer dragoon games for saturn? I always wanted that game.

I recall The Legend of Dragoon in fact after reading your post I turned to one of my game shelves aka the "holy crap I spent to much money on PS1-PS2 games shelf" and found it.

It was a fun game...what gets you the most into games is the story line I think. Reason why FF series is so good. And the items they place that you have a hard time getting. Its a bunch of little things that keeps you addicted to such games.
I dropped a good 400+ hours on FF7 and FF8 maxing my gear/stats/master materia/ultimate weapons etc but only about 60 hours went into LOD...the game was good but it wasn't like FF series...there was some expensive armor and that was about it far as "side quests" go. Still it was a great game/

I put ALOT of time into LOD it was a great game. And with the chrono cross comment i completely disagree, i hated that game with a passion.

I revisited LOD a couple years ago.. totally addictive.

I could never get past the final boss in FF7.. i was around level 70 and got my ass kicked each and every time. Granted i was only 13 so...

it was a funy game. but the battles are really slow and sometimes the random battles are tedious. it is fairly short for a 4 disc game.

hahaha great. all the people here know what i mean then. there are just some games, like ff and lod that are just too damn hard to turn off hahaha.
