Lenovo IDeapad Z500 adjust lighting key broken

My sister got a laptop and she accidently put the light to the minimum and she cant see anything during the day on the laptop , there is a key to make the lighting go up but it doesnt work

now when I press the key the increase lighting freezes and nothing changes

Try looking in the settings. Their may be setting to increase/decrease brightness.

Did you hold the Fn key while pressing the brightness key?
