The laptop is only about a month old, and i have been getting an error followed by the following message and a restart. it has happened about 7 times maybe starting about 1.5 weeks ago.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (vuhub.sys)

ay ideas thanks

Sounds like bad RAM or a bad hard drive. I'd find a memory tester (such as Memtest 86+) and test your RAM.

thanks for the reply, I did replace the ram that came with the laptop with 2 new 8gb sticks

I will do the ram test tomorrow and post the results.'

if it is the ram will i have any issues trying to get a refund/replacement for them i believe i purchased from newegg maybe a month ago have to look it up

thanks again

If it's within Newegg's warranty period you won't have an issue. If it's not, then you just contact the RMA manufacturer and RMA it.

Go into the bios and change the boot priority or there should be an option for boot menu when turned on.

On Lenovo's you have a small button on the side, turn the computer completely off then push the button and you will be able to enter the boot manager.

Ok i figured out how to run from a usb or dvd.

I am still not able to get it to run wasted a few hours yesterday. After a while i tried to get it to run on another laptop that is running windows 7 and it ran with no problems at all.

I am unable to get past this part:

"which USB boot option do you want to select?"
EFI USB Device (jetflashtranscend 4GB)
EFI USB Device (jetflashtranscend 4GB)

I am not sure why it lists the same usb twice, but either way i am unable to move between the two using arrows and pressing enter will not do anything either. no idea what i am doing wrong.

any ideas on what i should do next to figure out this issue?

as mentioned in my previous post i ran the memtest86+ with 0 errors. It actually happened again last night got that same error message followed by a restart.

Thanks again

vuhub.sys is the driver for the usb to ethernet connector. Try updating the driver for it.
