Lenovo RAM

I've got some Lenovo ram, but I'm not sure its being recognized by my motherboard... its an ASUS M4A78LT-M LE motherboard, and Lenovo RAM with P/N code: 49Y3735.

The RAM fits all the specifications needed, but isn't on the QVL...

How much ram does windows say is installed? That's a 4gb stick of ddr3 10600. If you aren't running a 64 bit OS it won't read all the memory.
 
You misunderstand me, I've not even been able to install windows yet, I've put everything together, and it spins up everything, but the monitor shows nothing...
 
RAM could be bad. Try swapping it with other cards. I'm sorry if your expensive purchase was worthless.
Or it could be the wrong specs.
 
Its OK, the RAM's one part of my system I haven't paid for... Dad had a load in a box...

I've tried two sticks of the RAM I stated, and some other Lenovo RAM, with the same specs but different part number... Neither worked.

Is there a way I can be sure the RAM is the problem?
