hells3000 New Member Jul 26, 2010 #1 Only thing is it does not pick up cds, installed the lastest driver.. checked sata ports and nothing... I click on the dvd icon and a windows pops out saying to insert disc.. tried cleaning it with disk cleaner, and nope... whats wrong here?

johnb35 Administrator Staff member Jul 26, 2010 #2 If it reads dvd's and not cd's then the drive is bad, since you actually have 2 different eyes that read disks. 1 for cd's and 1 for dvd's.
