LG GH22 PATA DVD Burner in New Computer

I bought an LG GH22 PATA DVD burner back in August for the computer I was using at the time. Now I have a new computer that doesn't have connections for PATA, only SATA. I want to use this drive in my new computer, though. What are my options?

Pci ide controller, but you would prolly be better off getting an sata dvd burner such as:

What board are you using that doesnt have atleast one IDE port?

. You best bet would be just buy a Sata DVD burner, you can get them for like 25 bucks.

Well, I would like to use my old PATA burner. There's no point in buying a new SATA burner when this PATA one is only three months old. I'll look into getting a PCI IDE controller. Thank you, all, for your replies.

Strange how your board doesnt even have 1 IDE port.
