Libre Office getting over haul.

I have Office 2007 that I got cheap through my college bookstore, but I'm definitely interested in Libre Office. I'm hoping they decide to release an Android version that I can install on my tablet. I got the thing, really to be my go-to for college classes, but have yet to use it for that purpose, since I haven't found an office solution I cared for, or wanted to pay $25 for. I'm not opposed to it, but something with a loyal following and development team behind it would definitely make me feel more apt to purchase it.

It definitely needs some compatibility updates. OpenOffice used to work just fine for me in Linux Mint, but since LM11, LibreOffice opens Poerpoints like crap.

From what I have read they are coming out with a Libre Office for Android. If Open Office worked better they install open office on your machine, I liked open office but it was loosing support thanks to Oracle basically just basically dropping the project.

That's what I thought I installed (OpenOffice was selected from the package manager) but all I could find was LibreOffice.
